About me

As a certified counsellor with a passion for growth and healing, my personal vision is to help others to address their struggles so that they may adjust, adapt and thrive.

I utilise an eclectic approach that incorporates aspects of contemporary psychodynamic psychotherapy, cognitive behavioural therapy, hypnotherapy, and authentic relating.  I aim to co-create, with my clients, a holistic and individualised therapy that is tailored to the unique needs of each of individual I see.

I place a strong emphasis on collaborative counselling, meaning that we openly engage in discussing how to make the therapeutic endeavour work optimally for you.

I am also LGBTIQA+ and polyamory friendly.

Experience

I have been practising as a counsellor and group facilitator since 2010.  In addition to private clients, I have worked in a number of NGOs across Cape Town, including Pride Shelter, SWEAT and Hope House.  I currently work with individuals and couples using online video calling, via Skype.  This makes my counselling services accessible to both local and international clients, as well as to clients who prefer to have their therapy sessions in the privacy of their own homes.
